The Christmas Market in Wroclaw attracts huge crowds every year. According to the figures, over a million people visited it last season (2025/2026), which is a record attendance figure. Although it attracts crowds of tourists, the largest group of visitors were residents of Wroclaw.
Christmas Market 2026/2027 in Wroclaw – dates and hours
The Christmas Market in Wroclaw will be held from 20 November to 7 January 2027 and will be open daily from 10 am to 9 pm (although there are some exceptions that we discuss later in this article).
It will cover:
- Market Square (southern, northern, eastern and western frontage);
- Świdnicka Street – from the Market Square to the underpass and from the underpass towards the Opera House;
- Oławska Street – from the Market Square to Szewska Street;
- Salt Square.
As every year, the Christmas Market is organised by the Pianoforte Artistic Agency.
Christmas Market during the Christmas and New Year period
The Market will be closed on the following days:
- 24 December (Christmas Eve)
- 25 December (Christmas Day)
- 1 January 2027 (New Year’s Day)
The Market will be open on the following days:
- 26 December (second day of Christmas) – the market will be open from 1 pm;
- 31 December (New Year’s Eve) – booths selling general merchandise will be open until 5 pm, and food and drink booths will be open until 2 am (1 January 2027).
What will we eat at the Market?
Traditional delicacies and grilled goods
The grilled dishes will include, e.g., grilled sausages, kebabs, black pudding, pork knuckle, a traditional slice of bread with lard, pea soup, stew, potato pancakes, dumplings and roast potatoes.
World cuisines
The Market will also feature delicacies from various corners of Europe and the world. Among them will be French crêpes, Belgian chips, Hungarian langos, Swiss cheeses, Portuguese pastries and seafood.
Sweets and baked goods
There will be plenty of sweet treats. These will include, e.g., bubble waffles, chocolate-covered fruit, jelly sweets, fruit cakes, gingerbread, freshly baked doughnuts and regional baked goods.
Meads and warming drinks
The menu will include, e.g., winter teas, meads, liqueurs, mulled wine and hot chocolate.

Wroclaw Social and Local Zone
This year’s Christmas Market will also feature a Wroclaw Social and Local Zone where exhibitors from the Lower Silesia region and local producers will present their goods. The wooden booths will house studios for regional products and artistic crafts.
The Wroclaw Social and Local Zone is also a place where Wroclaw-based organisations and entities that support important social initiatives can promote their activities. The Municipality of Wroclaw will also have its stand there.
